Ceck al the screws in the rotor head for loctite.They will be a HUGE help with the build. You will want to take the screws out and use blue loctite on all metal to metal contact areas. The factory doesn't do this for you. Go easy on the tightening. Also, the Trex 450 SE V2 manual can be used to build the CopterX. The Trex 450 SE V2 was my manual and what i build the bird after. 1. The autorotation sleeve was to tight to fit on the main shaft. I sanded my first shaft down to make it fit but realized that Align sleeves did fit without any sanding of the saft so that one was binned after my first crash. 2. Autorotation gear was so eggshaped i didnt dear to do the maiden with it so i fitted the Align one before the heli ever took off. 3. The bladegrips was to tight due to to tight shimming in the grips. I remooved 2 shimes in each grips to get the grips mooving freely. The last point is more part of the build procedure as it depend on the dampeners how many shimes thats needed inside the grips to get them tight enough. The Align manual states two shims and the CX manual three and bought sugestions was wrong in my build. The rest of the build was realy nice and the quality of the rest of the heli was exelent. The heli comes with philips scres and many pilots here prefere hex screws rather then the philips ones. The funny thing is that Align hex screws is of a poor quality and tends to strip easy where fore myself im realy happy with the philips screws. I would have no problems of buying a CopterX 450 again. Just tay away from the XC electronics, that sucks big time. Maybe they made a switch at some point. I also have a second kit which has all hex screws. So now that the design is more fine tuned then before it may mean the quality is better then before to. Not a bad thing.
